Pidurutalagala Range is considered to be the highest mountain in Sri Lanka.
Its elevation is 2524 meters above sea level. This mountain starts from the town of Nuwara Eliya at an altitude of about 1800 m above sea level.
This mountain is located in the Nuwara Eliya District and can be reached through the city of Nuwara Eliya.
Belihuloya, a tributary of the Mahaweli River, originates in the Pidurutalagala Range.
Most of the plants and animals that can be seen in the forest near Pidurutalagala mountain are endemic to our country.
This mountain is also known as "Pedro Mountain" and is shaped by many waterfalls.
This has been designated as a High Security Zone due to the TV tower located on this mountainous sea.
Due to this, it is difficult to climb this mountain today.
